As Nikki's career progressed, she realised her passion lies in dentistry management, consulting and coaching. On her journey, she underwent various roles as a dental administrator and receptionist before obtaining a diploma in Dental Practice Management in 2010. This qualification allowed for me to further develop her knowledge and skills in dental practice management, and insight into the complex operational management needs of dental practices. Her expertise in managing people and processes has proved invaluable in creating effective and well-functioning dental practices, ensuring patient satisfaction and regulatory compliance. In addition, Nikki has established herself as a respected compliance consultant, advising dental practices on how to establish and maintain best practice standards.
With an extensive knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements, dental legislation and the General Dental Council (GDC) guidelines, ensuring that her clients remain compliant and are prepared for regulatory inspections. Nikki is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion in dentistry, and is committed to ensuring that individuals from all backgrounds have equal opportunities." I believe that a diverse dental workforce will not only reflect the diverse communities we serve but also bring unique perspectives and experiences that can enhance patient care. I strive to promote inclusivity by actively seeking out and supporting underrepresented groups in dentistry, providing mentorship and resources to help overcome barriers they may face. By fostering a welcoming and culturally sensitive environment, I aim to create a dental community that celebrates diversity and promotes equality, ultimately leading to improved oral health outcomes for all".
One of my greatest passions is promoting kids dental health, and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to make a difference through my charitable program in Jamaica. I have established a program that provides free education on oral hygiene, and necessary oral health items for children in need. Witnessing the smiles on their faces and knowing that I am helping improve their lives fuels my passion for making a positive impact on kids dental health in the community where I was raised.
